Mat Pilates- strength & mobility (1hr)

Work those buns! A mat pilates class focusing on exercises that increase your range-of-motion, strengthening the muscles surrounding each joint so you can move with more ease and control. Mobile joints mean less stiffness and pain/discomfort - who doesn’t want that?? You will build functional strength, increasing energy and endurance for everything life throws at you: from playing with the kids/grandkids to competing in club sports on the weekend! Guided breath work and body awareness will be a part of your practice too, so that the mind and body can work together in unison. This is an open level class with no previous pilates or mobility training required.
Yin Yoga (1hr)

Oooof, yep that's the spot! Deeply meditative and gentle, this slow-paced style of yoga focuses on basic postures to increase mobility, stretch, and hydrate the body’s extensive fascial network. With the help of yoga props, you'll be guided into a deeply meditative internal space, making it perfect for those looking for a calming and restorative practice.

Let's sweat! Set within a 35 degree environment, this class is for anyone looking for a juicy and challenging yoga practice. A vinyasa sequence harnessing the energy of the rising sun with movements that meditatively flow from one to the other, to strengthen muscles and allow the spine to wake up and warm up. Lots of modifications provided allowing yogis to take ownership of their practice and decide on their level of difficulty.

Family Yoga (45mins)

An upbeat and fun class allowing for parents and children to forge a safe and loving relationship through yoga tools like partner yoga, partner massage, songs/singing, games, themes books and mindfulness.
Toddler Ballet (30mins)

A no-frills ballet class designed for toddlers to have fun, learn some new skills, interact with others, and have a good old ballet boogie, all for the pure enjoyment of dancing! There are no expectations on what to wear, so toddlers are encouraged to wear something that makes them feel good and allows them to move freely without needing to be constantly adjusted. Parents/carers must accompany the child and stay on site outside during the class.
Mini Makers (1hr)
Make it, mix it, fix it! A playground full of loose part provocations, inviting children to free play and use their imagination to create a masterpiece. The loose parts will include recycled items, wood pieces, jars, materials, sticks, stones, shells, blocks, string... the possibilities are endless!

Messy Art Playgroup (1.5hrs)
An imaginative wonderland filled with exciting art based activities, made mostly from natural and recycled materials, created to capture little ones imaginations. Parents and children are encouraged to slow down and take notice, and will be loosely structured allowing for lots of independent play and socialising.

Kids Eco Art & Craft (1hr)
A fun class giving kids a chance to learn about sustainability while practicing a range of creative modes and mediums from clay, paint, water colours, tie dying, charcoal drawing etc.

Delving into the sensory experience of clay making, participants will be given the chance to learn a range of clay techniques to make a variety of pieces. Outdoor Nature Creche

A fun filled outdoor play space for your little one to roam while you take some much needed me time.

The outdoor area will be divided into two spaces:
Children aged 12 weeks + up to around 18 months - this space will include pram parking for sleeping babes and a fenced area including soft flooring/rockers etc for those not yet walking.
​
Within this space children will find an abundance of mouth safe natural, wooden and age appropriate things to grab, hold, wriggle and shake with some climbing.
18 months and older- this space includes the remaining grassed area and outdoor sand pit.

Within the space children will find an abundance of natural, wooden and age appropriate things to play with including our mud kitchen, sand pit, tee pee, bamboo water run and fidget board. There will also be things to climb, push and ride.
Creche Rules

If the weather doesn't permit the creche to operate, you will be informed 2 hours before your class via SMS. If this means you cannot make your studio class, you will receive a full refund or the chance to reschedule your booking.

You must book your child/children into the creche using the online booking system.

1 booking per family= $5 PER FAMILY.

Creche drop off begins 15 minutes before your class starts. Creche pick up finishes 15 minutes after your class ends.

Sign your children into the creche when you arrive at the studio. You must allow yourself adequate time for this without being late to your class.

When signing your child/children in please update the staff as to any new preferences for your child/children including settling/comforting.

If your child/children becomes severely distressed during creche time and cannot be settled/comforted, they will be brought to you in studio.

Snacks and water bottes are allowed to be consumed inside the creche but please avoid packing anything with NUTS, SESAME OR EGGS to avoid allergic reactions.

If your child/children require toileting or a nappy change, they will be brought to you in studio for this. It is best to get this out of the way before drop off.

If your child/children is unwell please do not bring them to creche.

Gemma
Gemma is a passionate practitioner of yoga for ten years and a teacher of Yoga for six. She finds so much joy in sharing the magic of Yoga and it’s power to connect, to bring about union and balance to the entire being. She aims to create a space that everyone is able to find peace and connection with themselves and those they are sharing the space with.
Melanie
Melanie Briony is a dedicated fitness, nutrition, lifestyle, breathwork, and ice bath coach based in Newcastle, NSW. With extensive expertise in holistic wellness, Melanie offers a range of services including breathwork classes, workshops, and personalised 1:1 sessions. Her approach integrates physical fitness, nutritional guidance, and lifestyle coaching to help clients achieve optimal health and well-being. Melanie’s unique combination of breathwork and physical fitness provides an empowering experience for her clients, promoting resilience and vitality.
Ash
If you spend a bit of time in Redhead you’ve probably seen Ash, or at least the pilates sign outside her house! A mum of two with a busy active lifestyle, Ash is a big fan of training functional movement patterns to support and better her clients way of life. You’ll often hear Ash reference “injury prevention” in her classes, as well as training our bodies in all kinds of shapes. Exercises are layered so clients can take her classes at their own pace, Ash teaches a flowing style of Pilates which is sure to leave you feeling challenged, energised and mobile!
Bec
Owner and founder of Sunny Souled, Bec believes in the power of connection with self and community to help us feel good physically, mentally and emotionally. Before taking the plunge to own Sunny Souled, Bec was a high school teacher for 12 years, specialising in humanities and arts and she also has a diploma in yoga teaching. She would call herself a creative being who doesn't want to be put in one box, a loving mum, someone who finds pleasure in being of service to others and loves a good old chin wag and joke!

Studio Rules
We want Sunny Souled's studio to be a welcoming, comforting and safe space for all members of our community. We have a few requirements we ask you follow to ensure this:

Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your class to allow you adequate time to settle in, communicate with your instructor and organise any equipment needed.

Class numbers are limited so please use our online booking system to secure your spot and cancel or reschedule within the appropriate time limits.

Before attending a class ensure you have completed the waiver and release form and pre-exercise questionnaire which will be emailed to you.

Bring a water bottle and sweat towel to keep hydrated.

Respect your fellow class attendees by sharing equipment and the space equally.

Respect your instructor and their guidance. They are all highly specialised.

Place all personal belongings on the shelves provided and leave shoes at the door.

Always practice movement with attention to your body and breath. Move to a level that suits you and feels good. And know that this will change from day to day.
